Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, host of a TV show and actress best known for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas, was raised in the area of Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes from a family that has had numerous issues. She spent most part of her life caring for Frankie. Frankie suffered from an illness called polio. As a teenager, she experienced many issues with her mother. Sheryl says that at one instance her mother stabbed her father for being too close with her. Sheryl was a soldier upon her graduation from college. Her passion for the military was comedy. She was the first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. She began her TV career as a frequent performer at The HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She was a guest on Oh Drama! as the host in the year 2000. The present co-host on the talk talk show from 2011. She's also appeared in fictional programs like Bulworth Niki and Beauty Shop.
