In 2017 Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi as well as Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it became the most-streamed song at the time within 6 months. In the years 2020, many Reggaeton stars were dissatisfied with the trend of the genre towards the mainstream. But, the younger generation Rauw Alejandro wanted to keep the trend going. The genre often included elements of electronic dance music, and various other forms.
