Summer glau

Her popularity was partly due to the fact she was a part of Whedon's subsequent TV series, Firefly. Summer Glau's River Tam character was complex and Glau dealt with it well. The character of Summer Glau, Tam was compelled to take part in government-sponsored tests in order to prepare her for her role as the perfect assassin. Tam's ability to control emotions was taken away from her. Glau demonstrated her fighting capability as well as her acting skills on Firefly. Glau could fully utilize her athletic talent since she was preparing to become an assassin. The classical background of Summer Glau is what makes her an extremely skilled ballerina. A broken toe was the final straw for her as a dancer. Firefly was a one-off show however it was an enormous success. Whedon was so passionate about the show that he was able to return to the show a few years afterward. Summer Glau was still getting good work during the time.
